The National Association of Manufacturers announced Tuesday the group had released a new digital ad and voter guides in Washington, D.C., and other key battleground states urging manufacturers to vote and support pro-manufacturing candidates in the upcoming elections.
The 60-second features children urging viewers to "vote for my future" but doesn't make any endorsements. The ad coincided with the release of online voter guides in which presidential and congressional candidates were asked for responses to a series of policy questions about manufacturing.
"From health care, to energy, to taxes and trade, it is crucial that manufacturers educate themselves and vote for candidates who will fight for pro-growth policies that allow the manufacturing industry to prosper, grow the economy and create jobs," NAM Senior Vice President of External Relations Ned Monroe said.
Other than D.C., NAM didn't specify in which states the ad would run.
